T\u00e4glich werden hier etwa 110.000 Kubikmeter Abwasser behandelt. Das Abwasser durchl\u00e4uft dabei die klassischen Reinigungsstufen \u2013 mechanische, chemische und biologische Reinigung \u2013, ehe es in die Neue Luppe abgegeben wird. Der dabei anfallende Kl\u00e4rschlamm wird der Faulung zugef\u00fchrt und dient heute auch der Gewinnung von elektrischer und thermischer Energie sowie des wichtigen N\u00e4hrstoffes Phosphor.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr eine zukunftssichere Behandlung von Abwasser in der wachsenden Stadt Leipzig planen die Leipziger Wasserwerke wichtige Modernisierungen. Damit die Anlage auch k\u00fcnftig die technischen und gesetzlichen Anforderungen an eine umweltgerechte Behandlung des Abwassers erf\u00fcllen kann, ist es zwingend notwendig, die mechanische Reinigung grundlegend zu erneuern und die biologische Reinigung um ein Behandlungsbecken zu erweitern. Der Umbau wird w\u00e4hrend des laufenden Betriebes der Kl\u00e4ranlage in Teilabschnitten erfolgen.<\/p>\n<p>Vor zwei Monaten wurde die bestehende Schlammeindickung um einen weiteren Bellmer TurboDrain TDC4 erweitert. Mit bereits 3 TurboDrain TDC Gr\u00f6\u00dfe 3 werden seit einigen Jahren bereits die \u00dcberschussschl\u00e4mme in Leipzig Rosental erfolgreich eingedickt.
