BELLMER VAAHTO awarded major rebuild of Stora Enso Heinola Fluting Machine

Bellmer Vaahto has won a major order from Stora Enso Heinola, Finland, for fluting machine PM1. The main aspects of the rebuild are a new TurboPress press section and revamping of the dryer section including runnability components for web stabilizing and part renewal of the hood. The installation, training and start-up services are an essential part of the delivery. The investment, which increases annual output and improves product quality, accounts for most of Stora Enso´s recently announced 28 MEUR capital expenditure for the mill.
Heinola Fluting Mill produces semi-chemical fluting which is used as a base material in the corrugated board industry. The SC fluting (semi-chemical fluting) has been developed especially for demanding applications. Packing and transporting fruit and vegetables, other food products, electronics and products that need heavy duty packaging are just a few examples.

Heinola Fluting Mill has produced high-quality fluting since 1961. Today there are 175 employees at the mill. Heinola is an integrated pulp and board mill with annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes of fluting, most of which is exported.
Centrally located in the city of Heinola, the mill is about an hour and a half’s drive from Helsinki and 34 kilometres northeast of Lahti. Bellmer Vaahto Paper Machinery Oy´s workshop and service center is located in Hollola, just 45 km away. Bellmer Vaahto is a 100 % owned subsidiary Gebr. Bellmer GmbH, which has headquarters and main production facilities in Niefern (Baden-Württemberg), Germany.
The rebuild will be carried out in the second quarter of 2018.
