Happy faces at this year´s BellmerCup!
After a 2-year break due to the pandemic, once again our BellmerCup took place in Niefern last weekend.
In 1,635 minutes of play, a total of 55 teams (including 3 championship games of Men 2, Men 1 and Women 1) played soccer and offered all participants and visitors a very good reason to visit the BellmerArena of the FV 09 Niefern in mostly very good weather, to discuss soccer, to cheer on their own teams, to celebrate exuberantly, to eat and drink together.
The BellmerCup company tournament on Friday evening was won by Culligan after some exciting games. Then from 8.00 pm on the twoandahalfband created the right mood.
A highlight of the weekend was the district league derby between Niefern and Öschelbronn which ended with a draw. The FV 09 Niefern mascot Rocky and the run-in children from Mini / Bambini and F-youth set a clear sign against the war and were proud to be part of the derby.
Before kickoff of the derby, Roman Gichau took the opportunity to say goodbye to Thomas Krause the long-time goalkeeper coach of the activity and to thank him for his commitment.
Also the very well attended youth tournaments on Saturday and Sunday offered the spectators an insight into the future of junior soccer of the FV 09 Niefern and also here ROCKY the mascot was a very popular photo motive, which inspired not only the own players.
