The new screw press for the food sector

Bellmer Kufferath Machinery GmbH is known worldwide as a reliable partner in the field of Separation Technology. Their core competence is the thickening, dewatering and solid-liquid separation of a wide variety of media. Due to a continuous development and optimization of the product portfolio, further innovations are constantly being created in order to best serve existing and emerging markets.
One of these markets is the food industry, which is increasingly using screw presses for dewatering in its processes. Bellmer has reacted to this current trend by developing a screw press specially adapted to meet the demands of this sector, the AKUPRESS F. For this purpose, the customer-specific requirements in the food sector have been analyzed to be incorporated into the product development process from the start. Particular attention has been paid to the following attributes in the design of the AKUPRESS F: Minimizing material deposits on wetted surfaces and simplifying serviceability for fast and user-friendly cleaning. Achieving these attributes is made possible, among other features, by the horizontally split and vertically hinged screen basket, the essential feature of this new product series.

Furthermore, customers still benefit from the proven, best features of the AKUPRESS series with this model.

A pilot plant for testing individual applications and verifying expected results is ready. The first tests at customers’ sites have already been scheduled. The AKUPRESS F was developed and optimized for the unique requirements and rigorous regulations of the food industry.
