The origins of Hiang Seng Fibre Container Co., Ltd. (HSFC) date back to the beginning of this century and the company was founded in its present form in 1968. Today, the company is one of the largest integrated paper and packaging manufacturers in Thailand, serving approximately 30% of the domestic market. To maintain and expand this leading position in the fast-growing Thai economy, Hiang Seng has successfully placed the highest priority on product quality and process engineering, as well as sales and on-time delivery.
In addition to focusing on the development of Hiang Seng’s business, HSFC is strongly committed to environmental conservation, globally and nationally, in order to protect the planet for future generations.
To this end, Hiang Seng has established waste paper recycling facilities to reduce the consumption of virgin pulp. The company also protects the local environment with highly efficient wastewater treatment systems to limit the release of pollutants into local waterways.
A Cascade S, consisting of a TurboDrain TDL 5 and an WinklePress WPG 4S, as well as another TurboDrain TDL 5 have now been installed at HSFC for optimal mixed sludge treatment. The cascade combines the advantages of both machines: high throughput capacity with a very good degree of sludge thickening as well as optimum filtrate values of the TurboDrain and an optimum dewatering result at high capacity (DS) of the WinklePress. Thus, almost all types of sludge can be treated optimally. The Bellmer plants were installed in a specially built hall. Installation and commissioning went smoothly and the HSFC team is so satisfied with the fully automatic, trouble-free operation that the purchase of another cascade is already being planned.
