Solutions in times of Covid-19.

Fajar Paper, the Indonesian paper mill located in Jakarta, selected for two new Bellmer WinklePress WPNG 3X belt presses to replace their existing belt presses. The mill is currently upgrading its 55,000 m³/d wastewater treatment plant to the latest state of the art methods and technologies. In order to modernise the obsolete belt presses, Fajar Paper launched a global tender in which Bellmer technology emerged as the winner.

The belt presses dewater the aerobic secondary sludge from the paper mill‘s biological waste water treatment plant. The WinklePresses were supplied to Fajar Paper through the local wastewater technology and engineering company, Flocqua, with SOLIS, Bellmer‘s Dutch subsidiary, providing the process and technical support.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, representatives of Fajar Paper and Flocqua were unable to travel to Niefern. Therefore, the factory acceptance of the belt presses was carried out virtually. No less than 11 people took part virtually in the Factory Acceptance Test. Fortunately, even with COVID-19 restrictions, there are ways to keep the business running.
