Since 1996, the Mexican Artigraf Group has been offering a wide variety of high-quality packaging solutions made of corrugated cardboard, which are converted in three (soon to be four) corrugated cardboard plants in Mexico.
The associated paper and cardboard converted come from the company’s own paper mill, Papeles Ultra, S.A. de C.V. located in Ixtapaluca. In order to keep improving the high quality standard of the products, Artigraf continuously invests – also in the products from Papeles Ultra. The dryer section of Papeles Ultra’s PM 1 was modernized by Bellmer in 2019, resulting in a 10% increase in the entire product range. Due to the positive experiences from the past cooperation, Papeles Ultra has again chosen Bellmer as the supplier for the modernization of the press section on the PM 1.
A TurboPress shoe press was installed at the existing press section to ensure the best dry content and volume. Stock preparation is also part of the new joint project.
Installation and commissioning are planned for summer 2023.
