Kämmerer GmbH produces pre-impregnated décor papers and other specialty papers
The town of Osnabrück itself, founded by the king Karl der Große as a bishop’s seat, testifies to its 1200-year history with a rebuilt old town. In 1648, after the end of the Thirty Years’ War in Germany, Osnabrück went down in history as the city of the “Peace of Westphalia” – next to Münster. The beginnings of the Kämmerer company date back over 200 years.
In production, Kämmerer relies on innovative technologies for paper production in addition to new contemporary ideas and products. The choice fell on the Bellmer belt thickener, Turbodrain TDR. Two TDR systems were installed on paper machine 3 for white water filtration at the end of 2018. Since then, the TDRs have proven their efficiency in the production of the various decor papers.
“The changeover to the new technology was simple and unproblematic. The TDR and Bellmer have fulfilled all expectations right from the start,” says the responsible project manager, Mr. Elsner, in his review of the project.
