Bellmer´s quality convinces South African Mpact Paper to order again
Mpact Paper, Felixton mill located in South Africa was one of the first customers who purchased our shoe press back in 2006. It was positioned in the 2nd nip and this repeated order for the 1st nip confirms the customer’s satisfaction with the existing shoe press.
With a history dating back to 1967, Mpact is the largest paper and plastics packaging manufacturer and recycling business in Southern Africa. Its integrated business model is uniquely focused on closing the loop in the plastic and paper packaging manufacturing cycle by continuously maximising value and minimising waste.
The Mpact paper division manufactures recycled-based packaging and is an accredited manufacturer of industrial paper grades such as containerboard (such as fruit or vegetable boxes) and cartonboard (such as cereal boxes). The division comprises three mills, one in Felixton (KwaZulu-Natal), another in Piet Retief (Mpumalanga) and the third in Springs (Gauteng).
All the mills are ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, meaning that the environmental management systems are aligned to an internationally accepted framework and that their quality management systems ensure the manufacturing of a consistent product offering. This means that all the mills are known for their responsible management of raw materials throughout the products lifecycle. The Mpact Paper mills are fully equipped to produce paper reels for the packaging industry.
Mpact constantly invests in modern technology, plants, people and/or infrastructure to provide continual improvements of their offerings into the various packaging markets. With this new 1st nip shoe press, the customer aims to increase their capacity and reliability of the process. A new TurboPulper under the Pope Reeler completes the order.
