Bellmer to Modernize BN Papéis PM#01

Bellmer, a German multinational founded in 1842 and a global reference in paper and pulp solutions, announces its participation in its first strategic project in Brazil: the modernization of BN Papéis PM#01, a company nationally recognized for producing low grammage specialty paper.
With 17 subsidiaries worldwide, Bellmer strengthens its presence in Latin America by being chosen as a partner to modernize PM#01, combining tradition and innovation in pursuit of industrial excellence.
According to the company, the project represents not only technological advancement but also the strengthening of its partnership with BN Papéis, which expects a 60% increase in production capacity, in addition to manufacturing new specialty papers directly on the machine that are not currently produced.
This initiative reaffirms Bellmer’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions, consolidating itself as a strategic partner for companies focused on innovation and sustainability.
About the Modernization Project
The goal is to expand and modernize PM#01, maintaining the grammage range between 20 and 40 g/m² while enabling the expansion of this range.
With the equipment supplied by Bellmer, BN Papéis will achieve the following benefits:
- More efficient pulp screening, ensuring suitability for new technical applications of specialty papers
- Significant improvement in sheet formation
- Greater control and assurance of cross profiles for grammage, moisture, and thickness
- Enhanced smoothness and profile of the sheet
- On-machine surface coating, in other words, applied directly on the paper machine
- Projected 60% increase in production
Each stage is being planned jointly with BN Papéis’ team, with a focus on quality, reliability, and high industrial performance.
