The concept proposed by Bellmer using TurboDrain TD-Basic was able to assert itself

The decision of the AZV Lechfeld to renew the mechanical waste activated sludge thickener had been pending for some time, as the existing drum thickener with peripherals had become outdated. A major repair for the plant management was out of the question. The sewage treatment plant, in existence since 1987, purifies – besides the waste water of the so-called Lechfeld communities (Untermeitingen, Klosterlechfeld, Graben, Kleinaitingen, Oberottmarshausen, Hurlach and Obermeitingen) – also the waste water of the military barracks settled on the Lechfeld.

After intensive market research on the part of the wastewater association – especially during the exhibition IFAT in Munich – the process concept proposed by Bellmer using TurboDrain TD-Basic was able to assert itself. Commissioning of the plant was successful. The TurboDrain started up without any problems and the first dry substance contents of the thickened waste activated sludge were approx. 1.0 – 2.0 g/kg dry matter polymer use at around 6% dry solids content, which the team was very satisfied about. After a short training by the Bellmer commissioning engineer, the KA Lechfeld team quickly understood the function of the machine, which speaks for the simple and therefore efficient process principle of the TurboDrain.
